The Melrose Houndstooth harness is named after the small town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders historically in Roxburghshire, which was re-founded in the early 12th century and is one of the most beautiful monastic ruins in Great Britain. Melrose, the heart of the Scottish King Robert the Bruce inspired the regal composition of the blush tones seen throughout the lavish, plush fabric. The alluring, metallic rosette leatherette ribbing touches on the dusty rose arrangement delicately accented by the blush pink embroidery. The beloved Shih Tzu dogs were favourites of imperial royals because they were so prized for their beauty and their signature underbite complimenting the houndstooth.
