This work was done here on the island of Maui. It was inspired by the Maui Fires. In the midsts of all of the Caos and sadness our island was able to come together in a real way, the people of this island have so much love and heart also known as Aloha. I am a local artist here on Maui and I use mostly reclaimed beach wood, old discarded ceramic tile and what ever is headed to the landfill. Since we are such a small island I am very mindful of saving, reusing and not wasting anything when at all possible. This paint was made by myself using old pigment that was to be discarded. I have been very inspired to do heart art for over a year now. I tried to really exude my love and heart in this series. This is an original so the price point is a bit higher.
