Vintage double compartment wall mount cast iron matchstick holder. Cupid cherub metalwork on the flip top compartment lid. Matches are cheaper than gas! Every kitchen with a stove had a match holder close by for easy access to a light, starting back in the 1800’s until self starting stoves became available.
