Beautiful antique sewing box constructed of solid walnut panels. The top panels swing open on the top. The grain pattern is very defined as can be viewed from the photos. A lot of effort was put into fabricating this sewing box. I provided views from all sides to indicate the excellent condition of the box.
The box was passed along to my wife from her grandmother who was also an avid seamstress. The box is in excellent condition considering its age. I’m thinking it was constructed in the late 30’s. There are no tags or stamps indicating the manufacturer. The construction joints are all secure. Definitely a collectors item.
The dimensions are:
Height to top of handle is 9”
Front to back is 7 1/2”
Length is 10”
It’s comes from a pet and smoke free home.
